i hav brown bloches on the in side of my tank and just wondering wot this may be,i hav lost a fish in the time these brown bloches hav been there however i am not certain this is the cause of the death of the fish and by the way the fish was a red tailed shark help!!!

Brown patches are common on newly set up tanks, just rub them of

How many gallons is the tank.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

around a week agoo i had a water test and everything was perfect and yes the tank is fairly newish around 9-10 weeks old.i hav atcherly done a water changed 4 days ago and i rubbed all of the bloches off however they hav come bak..........my tank is a 70 litre which consists of 2 sailfins,3 mollies,1 red tailed shark, and 2 blue gouramis thankyou for replieing

The red tail shark needs a 40 gallon tank.
The brown patches are normal I would just rub them off.
You will stop getting the patches as the tank matures.

I would invest in some liquid test kits of your own.
