Need advise for the New Tank.

Hi Guys,

I recently restarted my hobby and started small with Lifegrad 10 Gallon Aquarium, cycled for 3 weeks using API quick start and filter media from my friends.

Tank Details

Lifegard 10 Gallons ( Low Iron Glass Aquarium)

Dimentions : 17.72 x 10.63 x 11.81 inches

20 Gallon Azoo HOB filter

50 W Heater

Substrated : Organic Dirt + Sand + Carribsea Eco Complete Flora ( layers)

Light : Sting Ray 2

Lava rocks, decorations
Plants : Amazon sword, rosetta sword, tiger lilly, ludwigia rupens (2 bunches), Amazon Nano, Java Moss, Java Fern.

Fishes Added today :

1 X Honey Gourami
5X Cloud Tail Minnows
2x apatosaurus corydoras (thats what LFS told)


Please let me know if i can be able to any more fishes ( thought to add 2 gourami's but controlled my thought ) - I was looking for Honey Gouramies from days and very happy to find today.

i personally think your tank is already too full. also, cories are schooling fish. you should maybe get a 20 gallon tank and then get 4 more cories. also, the bigger the tank, the less there is a chance of water becoming all wonky and bad.

Thank you, for now I am planning to stick with 10g and If i can able to grow plants properly will move to bigger one. If i can return the Cories Will i be fine. I dont know if they are young or so.. they are just almost an inch and the LFS said thats the most they will grow..

Any chance that i can add more cloud tail minnows .. thanks.

you could maybe add only one cloud tail minnow. more than that your tank will probably be too crowded. also, i really want to see the tank. those plants sound great. any chance you could put. a picture?

The lease i Can do for your kind reply, but please be noted that i am not at all good at taking pics and these fishes i just added today and they are still shy..
