Hi, just a quick question about my corals. I have a toadstool leather coral and a green grass xenia at the moment had the toadstool about a week now and I got the xenia yesterday. Im having issues with them coming out for any length of time, the xenia opened in the shop and looked great same with the toadstool.

Water stats are
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 20
Phosphate .5

Light is I believe T5 though I dont know how old it is do you think it would be worth changing the bulb?

The toadstool seems to have shed in the tank since I got it which I believe is quite normal? It pops out its polyps a couple of hours a day is that normal? Or should they be out all the time?

Planning a water change tomorrow so assume that should help a bit. What do you think? And how worried should I be?

Its quite normal for toadstools to sulk and shed after going in a new tank or being moved. Make sure its in good flow.

If you are unsure how old the tubes are then replace them :good:

Nice big water change is needed - are you keeping up with weekly water changes? And are you running phosphate remover?

Its just a live rock and powerhead set up. Planning to get a filter on it soon IE before adding fish. Only had the tank a week from tomorrow but I believe the set up is around 2 year old? So planning on heating the water over night and doing it when I get in from work. But yeah not What percentage water should I change? Ill get a new bulb monday :good: as I have work tomorrow till the shops shut haha

Also one last noob question what temperature should the tank be at for marine? Ive got it at 27 is that too high?
