oooh sounds like fun! i dont know, all i know is that they are stem plants and decently healthy
 
The one on the left looks like bacopa caroliniana; the one on the right- a species of ludwigia.
(i am not op) THANK YOU SO MUCH!! you are my savior! i finally know what that big plant in my tank is!!!! i never knew it was ludwiga, as the ludwiga repens almost went extinct but this one hangs in there

yes, i have that problem too... it is probably lack of nutrients,
what ferts do you use?
what is your kh?
my kh is low and my ludwigas have been suffering from it

That has happened to mine when there wasn’t enough light penetration. I suppose it could also be a nutrient issue. You can clip and replant the tip.

My kh is around 3 and my ludwigia is growing like bonkers.
