Ok, First off all my fish are doing well and none have died. I have about 13 fish total platies and tetras. I also have one big Pleco(Bottom Feeder). I have had this tank running since early April. This is my first tank, Ever. It is a 29 gallon tank, and I use a Whisper Power Filter for my oxidation. Also It is Gravel.

What happened is in just over a month ago my water started to get dirty, I do water changes regulary, and change filter when needed. I could not understand why? Then all of a sudden it kept getting more and more cloudy. It is a very light brown tanish color. When I get closer to the tank and look very close, I can see Little things almost particle like floating and stirring around my tank with the current from the power filter. Everything is running great, My filter does not get clogged at all, water runs smooth all the way thru it. I just dont understand why it will not clear up? I was giving it time to see what happens. But it is so cloudy I cant see the fish unless they surface or come towards the front of the tank. All fish are still active and everything looks normal. Just Cloudy Water? Any help or advice please, cause I have no where else to turn for answers.
Thanks
James

Any driffwood?
Do you vac when changing water?
This could be a algae.
Pl*cos are very dirty fish. It just could be as simple as a better filter.

No driftwood or anything like that. I have nothing in the tank, besides gravel took my fake plants and figures out of the tank to see what happens. When changing water I use a hand held vacuum. If it is algae, do I get something to control the algae? Thanks for the quick response.

My tank is having a cloudy problem too :( Mine is more of a white haze though... I had the algae bloom problem before though, I went on vacation for a week & my mom forgot to turn my tank lights off :/

What you can do is reduce the lighting & do plenty of water changes, some fast growing plants may help too (theyll compete w/ the algae for food). There are some anti algae chemicals out there, I never used them though so I don't know how safe or good they are.
