does anybody know how long until the baby crays will let go of the mother? they seem to have hatched sometime in the past 48 hours .....

sorry mate i wouldn't have a clue, but any chance on post some pics :)

as soon as they let go i will get some! its a little difficult now as the mother is in her cave and i dont wanna pull her out and disturb her.

oh gosh im so excited cant wait to count them!

Congrats on the spawn, according to THIS profile on TFF the young can spend several weeks clinging to the mother. Also they are cannabalistic, so watch out for the mother eating the young, best to remove them to another tank I would have thought when they are free swimming.

as soon as they are free swimming the mother will be returned back to the crayfish tank and the babies will be in a tank of their own

Congrats!! Would love to see some pics of baby crays :hyper:

well today we have a few brave little crayfish letting go of mom, so im scooping them up into a tank of their own! will try and get pics but they so small!!!!
