I thought I'd share some pictures of my aquarium with you. You've all been a great help in setting it up and getting me into fishkeeping.

You can view my aquarium here: http://picasaweb.google.com/martinandheather

Currently stocked with

10 Cardinal Tetra
10 Rummynose Tetra (not true rummynose though)
4 Clown Loach
4 Blue Rams
2 Black Mollies
2 Bronze Cories
4 Three-lined Cories (Trilinius)
edit: 5 amano shrimp

It is a Juwel Vision 260L with the Freshwater and Tropical Arcadia lights. Eheim 2215 Classic.

Going to do a DIY CO2 system when I get enough empty bottles :)

Martin

PS: The black thing at the front is my Riccia growing on a DVD case (didn't have any slate). The white net at the top is currently home to a baby from my other tank (either a molly or a guppy - can't tell yet).

well done old bean i can`t wait to get my tank fully planted

Thanks for the feedback.

I only got into tropical fish back in April when we got a Juwel 70 for the kids. That tank was soon fully stocked and I got quite into it and ended up getting my 260 from eBay :)

Now I need a bigger house.

Looks good :good:
Is that a fake root? I've just chucked mine out as after 6 months the paint faded on it and it went white  .

I'm not sure. It came with the tank.

It feels like wood, but it is white (with green algae-type stuff growing on it). The fish are eating the algae and I've got some java fern growing off it too.

Once I get some more java moss, I'll try and wrap that around it.

The clown loaches seem to spend most of their time hiding inside it (it's hollow).

Sounds like a plastic one then. I just said because I'd got java fern and an anubias to grow on mine then it went really white and I had to rip off the plants and start again with real wood(a right pain!).

That is a gorgeous tank. Your plants and fish are amazing, gorgeous colours. Love the root. Well, done, great for someone who has only been keeping tropical fish for a few months :good: .
