Hey peeps!

Finally time for a quick showoff. I setup my new AQ3 courtesy of my bloke :good: on Boxing day, but I havent really shown off the results yet.

I'm stocked with 8x Danio choprai, 4x Yasuhikotakia sidthimunki and 2x Cherry shrimp :hyper: The tank is heavily planted but relatively low tech and nicely overfiltered by and external canister :)

So here it is prettymuch at the beginning, I didnt plant it heavily enough to start with and BGA sneaked in... as you'll notice later lol

Then looking a little better on Jan 20th;

and finally as it is today;

I'd best throw in some pics of the inhabitants for good measure eh!?
First the Danios

The sidthimunki are nigh on impossible to photograph so this is it lol

Excellent tank and good pics; danios and loaches are fast movers.

*drool*

I <3 3D backgrounds. And I CAN'T GET THEM! WAAAAH!

Beautifully planted. I can't use sand to save my life. Congrats!

I love the set up. I have the same tank myself. What external canister are you using?

Steph

P.S: if you're still around steph, I'm running a Hydor Prime 10 on it ;)

Hi lovely tank, :good:

I'm fighting bga at the moment, did you have it long? How did you finally get rid of it? :crazy:

Cheers chaps! :D

Jaycat;
The BGA just never got any better, blackouts etc got me nowhere so I gave up and bought some Maracyn from Ebay. A five day course and it disintegrated, a nice big water change and like magic it was gone forever :good: I didnt experience any blips in my filtration, but it is drastically overfiltered, planted etc so it may be that the effects were absorbed really.

lol, yes matt, I do indeed do plants too! :hyper:

that's very nice
how do you put photos here?

*dumb question*
i'm new... pardon me!

i want to show off a bit :blush:
well you can check it on my site.

Nice tank, it has grown in well

BGA isnt from not stocking enough plants, it can be due to poor circulation, low NO3 (<10ppm) NH3 spikes, dirty filters.

Thanks, Aaron
