Hi everyone. I'm new to Gourami keeping and bought my first two yesterday. I just wanted to share with you a photo of one of my new additions. I'm absoutely loving them. They are so confident and active and getting on brilliantly with the Neons and Guppies added. So glad I bought Gouramis.

Very nice pic of your Dwarf there.....Is the other one a female?? You'll enjoy them.

Have taken a huge risk and have two males. The tank is heavily planted with lots of hiding places. They are fine with each other at the moment so I'm hoping all will be well. Massive risk I know but have gone into it prepared.

Nice fish, even better name!

Personally I think they are one of the most colourful tropical fish that you can buy.

Had one of these myself, but after spending 2 days hiding it dropped dead....did not seem to be any physiccal reason why it did. They are prone to a particular bacterial infection but I hope you have better luck than me.

Sorry to hear about your fish. I am so pleased I got them. They make me laugh with their funny antics. One of them has decided to dig for Australia !! I have sand Substrate and the other Gourami (Paisley lo) seems to love digging, and has made a lovely big hollow at the side of the tank. Think this action may be inspired as the filter flow seems to push any food debris straight into the hole. Love em

shankley, liverbird..... do you have fish called rush, dalgleish, barnes, beardsley, toshak....?
