Cool forum!!

I wish this was around when I use to be into the hobby. Would have saved me a lot of headaches. Here is a recent picture of my fluval edge. I have three danios and a ghost shrimp for now. Might do a male guppy or betta tank once it has been running a bit longer. Hope you like it!

looks very good. Ive seen the fluval in the lfs, stylish little tanks. Im not sure if the plants with white edges are 100% aquatic they might die off eventually.

Yeah that Dracena will rot eventually unless exposed to the air.

The way to tell is whether or not the plant droops when out of the water. If the plant remains rigid, its most likely a house plant and not aquatic! My LFS has got away with selling red dracena as an aquatic plant! -_-

I just pulled out the non aquatic plants tonight and made a bouquet out of them. The two plants attached to the driftwood are aquatic and so are three other little ones. I rearranged the tank and it still looks pretty cool. I'm never buying plants from pet super stores like Petsmart again

Nice tank, i've seen that in my LFS... it's £80 i realy wanted it for a shrimp tank! Looks so stylish and smart :)

Give us more piccies :p

Some pictures after I redid the tank last night. No more non aquatic plants from petsmart! I like the simple design a bit better. I plan on tying one small Java fern to the top of the wood on the left and let it be...or well, until I get bored with it again :shifty: Any comments, advice, etc. is always encouraged

One more pic of the girlfriend @ the LFS yesterday. The fish would not stop following her, comedy!

haha, them pics are awsome :) ... how much was the tank and what did you get with it? do you need to use a heater in there or...?

how did you get your heater in there with out the lid being raised? when i looked at that tank in the LFS, it looked asif you couldnt put a heater in there because the lid would have to sit on the top of the wire and make the lid wonkey lol :S

The tank comes with basically everything you need. Stand, filter, lights, and of course...the tank :). The tank was a gift from the girlfriend I think she paid $129. The cord for the lights and the filter are all enclosed in the back part of the stand so there is no untidy cables anywhere. There was plenty of room for the heater cable and digital thermometer cable back there as well. I probably don't need a heater since the lights do heat the water up a bit but I wanted the water temperature to be stable at night since I usually sleep with my window open. I'm loving my lazy monday off work so much that I was more than happy to go snap a picture of how I routed the heater cord.

looks great mate, thanks for the pics! i'm going on holiday in a couple of weeks so i'm not allowed to spend any pennys lol, i so want one of these tanks for the bedroom though!!

cleaning a pain? doesnt look like theres alot of open space to work with there lol, but still... looks amazing :)

I sell em' at the store I work at, they are flying off the shelf. Only downside is they are a little on the pricey side, but as you can see they do look nice!
