This is with approx 90% fresh clean water treated with API water conditioner, and 10% from the old tank, everything else has come from the old tank.

Is a 200W heater enough for this tank ? its a 240 litre tank, its in the middle at the moment, but im thinking of ordering another one and putting them each end of the tank.

I just looked up heater requirements for a 50-60 gallon tank and it looks like you are pushing the upper end for your heater as your 240 liter tank equates to 63.4 gallons.

Recommendations for a 50-60 and it shows 200W.
Recommendations for a 75-100 gallon tank is 250W-300W.

So your 200W would do the job but would work hard likely shortening its longevity. Going with the ratio shown in the following link you should have a 221.9W heater which, of course, you won't find. I would personally consider a second heater but getting an additional 100W unit would probably do just fine and cost less.

Thanks, I think i'll just grab thee 300w in that case a pull the other one out, this is what ive got at the moment, the 300w is only £2 more expensive https://www.fishkeeper.co.uk/aqua-range-lcd-smart-heater

Been shopping today, new plants and a power head and some bog wood which is boiling at the moment as the damn stuff is floating.
