After finaly getting rid of my badly designed coffee table fishtank, I've now got this 200llsh tank. I'm running 3 T8's, 1 white, pink &
a marine actinc for evenings. Fluval 303 external filter.

I could not bear to get rid of the Red Cherry Shrimps so this is their new home, along with 8 Glowlight Danio's & 12 Neon Yellow Rasboras.

I've transfered the black river sand/pebbles & some of the anubias from the other tank & have added some Sumartan branches for effect.

I'm open to any suggestions on other tank mates, plants or any aquascapiing ideas you may have.

Not sure if its suitable (its more suitable than my Rio 240) but because its tall, id love to see some sea horses!

I did want it to be brackish so I could have small puffers, green or figure eight but this would have limited my fish / plant choice.

i would stick an aponogeton ulvaceus in there and some aquatic Lily's.

I love the tank its got some good potential.

Thanx. The brown balls you see towards the front of the tank are nymphaea ruba bulbs, I've had these before growing to over 15" & flowering out of the water. They looked great.

I'm also after another bulb sold before to me as an 'onion plant', I don't know the proper name for it, wander if anyone on here does? The leaves were straight, 10mm wide & tall and looked a bit like vallis?

Crinum thaianum, is the name for the onion plant. Sorry i missed the bulb on the photos, they will look great in that tank. They have a tank on display in my LFS like yours and they use a mirrored background on it and it really suits this style of tank.

Thank-you ianho, the cheapest Crinum thaianum bulbs I could find were on eBay (item no. 280428586762) but at £3.50 plus £2.50 P&P each they were not exactly cheap! Still there are quiet long lasting & when they get upto the surface they fold forward giving you extra cover as floating plants would do.

Just a quick pic update of the 200l tank. I added loads of Hornwort to strip out nitates, their growth rate is super fast. The ruba are getting on slowly but surely.
