Before I type anything I will say that these pictures are resized to a good size, so don't worry about those humongo pictures on this thread. :)

After learning how to take good pictures 3 days ago, I went on a picture-taking spree, I took over 200 pictures, but these ones are the only ones that turned out to be good by my standards (BTW- My personal favorites are down at the bottom, but still look at all of them :D :good: :

My tank (looks a little reddish because of the light in my room at the time):

I'll start out with a couple of my cories:

A couple pics of my male Bolivian Ram, Chameleon (because he can seem to change colors in seconds):

Pictures of my Kuhli Loaches, who do something interesting every day:

My Honey/Dwarf Gourami (sorry, best pic I had of him):

Now here comes the best part, my personal favorite pictures:

Uh-oh, what are those two cories doing alone under that rock?!:

This is one of my favorite pictures!:

I love the head-on views:

My smallest cory in the tank, less than half the size of the others, barely an inch long:

I like the sense of movement in this picture, even though it is pretty blurry:

I just like this pic:

I really like the position the cory is doing, even if the pic is has a little worse quality than the others:

You maybe wondering why I don't have pics of my Cherry Barbs and Harlequin Rasboras. The answer is that they move too much, so they don't get a photoshoot :p

Very very nice pics and fish , tank!!!!!AWSOME STUFF!!

Just to tell you that your Gourami is a color varient from the Dwarf Gourammi. ( You have a beauty )

They call it Red Robin, Cinnamen Gourami.

I have 3 of them. You will find that the females also have red coloring but the front part of the body and head is grey.

Great Pictures! Nice Cories Too, Ive Got A Few And I Want To Put Pics On. Do You Use Flash And Leave The Aquarium Light On?Im Still A Novice Lol

Thank you very much!

Thank you very much for that info about my gourami! at first i was skeptical about getting him because I thought they were a hybrid and i thought hybrids usually are in poor condition. But when I saw him in the store, I still just had to get him! Cost only 4 dollars also! I will get more if I see them! Are these kind of Gourami's rare? I haven't seen them before...

Edit- -Deano- I would suggest you read a pinned topic on how to take good fish pics, in this secion, just look for it in the pinned items, it says everything I did and more. (I owe half of my picture taking skills to that thread)

No problem.

They are amazing gouramies as they are so friendly and full of personality.Get yourself a female and you will see how soft they really are.Beware that females are very rare and hard to tell between female and young male.

I am in South Africa and yes here they are very rare and I payed R25 for 1.

At first some people seemed to think they were dyed but then they are so perfectly colored that its was ruled out.You can tell so easily if a fish have been dyed.

I do not think that you get them naturally in the wild but they have developed due to captured breeding.

Definetly not a Hybrid .True dwarf Gourami with red colors and white tale.

I have 1 male and 2 females and when I wanto feed them they will come up to the glass and feel and taste with there tenticals all over like they wanto touch you.

Very loving and cool fish.

Thank for the comments!

I know what you mean when they feel around with their ventrals! At night I sometimes turn my room light on, for various reasons, and my Gourami seems to wake up from his sleep and blunders around only feeling with his ventrals! It looks so much like a blind man trying to work his way around the tank! Yes, they do the same thing to me when he goes up against the glass also!

I'll try to get better pictures of him!

great pics cap'n! :hyper: ive got the same cories as you, theyre great arent they? :)

Yes I know! I have been looking at your Trilineatus thread and it is great geo7x, I have 6 of them also! Always providing action at the bottom of the tank!

Nice pictures! Then again, I've seen the tank in person. Still, nice pictures.

Sorry to burst the proverbial bubble but this is completely in error. This species is definitely not a "variant" of the dwarf gourami: For starters look at the morphology: the head and finnage structure is less bulky and more simple than a dwarf. The actualy morphology is actually that of a Honey gourami as captain retardo said. Have a look at the anabatoid pinned section: you will see a good example of the orignal honey gouramis and this colour morph. They are called: Fire Honey Gouramis. Also you will notice that they do not grow to the same size as their dwarf relatives.

Edit: whoops forgot to mention how stunning the corydoras pictures are, great camerawork all round. I love the Ram.
