Hi I have been keeping fish on and off for the last twenty years or so and thought I'd post a picture of my latest tank. it is about 40 us gallons and is my first real go at a planted tank (with extra lighting and diy co2). It's not bad although it is no way near finished (I still have more plants and fish to go in yet).

What do you think?

At the moment it contains 6 harlequin rasboras, 5 glowlight tetras, 3 peppered corys and 1 bronze cory.

also about 15 malaysian trumpet snails.

Looks good! Personal preference would be to hide the heater and have a black background :)

Like all the plants aswel.

:good:

The variagated plant at the front was bought from the LFS so I assume that it is aquatic although to be honest it doesn't seem to be doing so well. I'll probably replace it when my new plants arrive that I've ordered. :)

Looks very nice, although, IMHO, the bogwood as you have it is too central and over-imposing where you have it.

Personally I would have placed it on one side or the other and created a scape of plants around it from there, flowing down in size to the middle of the tank and then back up and around the slate cave you have built.

The plant being spoken of is not aquatic and will soon start to decompose.

I would get rid sooner rather than later if I were you.

(just re-read my post and it sounds totally negative :/ . Wasn't trying to be, sorry)

Thanks for the comments. I will be re-arranging the tank when i put more plants in. I agree that the bogwood is rather imposing and dominates the tank at the moment. I will post more pictures after i have added more plants.

Just an update on my tank. Excuse the dodgy photography. :)
