You guys have to help me out. I have had trouble breeding my Kribs of all fish - for the past three years!!! I have tried changing water more regularly, cichlid conditioner, you name it. I regularly check the pH and it is always around 7.4. The female will lay eggs, guard the cave, but in a couple of days she's back swimming around the tank and no eggs. This last time, she laid her eggs and stayed guarding them for a days...longer than normal. I thought I had it. The male also stayed around the cave also guarding it. Is my male just not fertilizing the eggs. Infertile? Can I put two males in the same tank? Two females? 36 gallon hex. This is really getting frustrating.

It's a teatment couples have when they are stuggling to conceive naturally
do you know what IVF stands for?

invitro fertilisation...the invitro being latin for in glass...which means injecting the fish with hormones, extracting sperm and several ovum's and putting one ovum in a petri-dish with some sperm and then hopefully they become fertilised and then are planted back into the female. first off this would be VERY difficult and you would need lab equipment and also you would have ethical concerns to deal with

Yes, I do know what it means but I'm pretty sure Ashy was kidding.
