My fish the hump back

My fish got white spot so i started treating them, although before this one or 2 of my fish started looking weird, (platties) They would bend into a cresent shape and one i noticed had a hump on his back, 2 days into treatment for the white spot all this hump bit was covered in white stringy stuff. sadly he died this morning, can anyone explain all this? I tested the water and its 0 except for nitrate which was 10.

They can be born with deformaties like that, i no when they are dying the can bend like a boom a rang, just keep an eye on the others, also did the fish go skinny as well.

White stringy stuff sounds like external parasidic worms. They look like long thin leaches sticking to the sides of the fish. Is this close?

If so you will need to treat the tank with a parasite med.
