My Fish Are Sick! Please Help!

I have 2 platies that are sick

One has anchor worm.

The other has might have cotton mouth. Her mouth looks white and cottonish, but there is a thin white string coming from it.

What can I do to help them? They are both very pregnant and I don't want to hurt the fry.

get some Waterlife Parazin and follow the instructions on the bottle

Is there something like it in the US?

Can I use tweezers to remove the anchor worm? Is that what is in my other fishes mouth?

it certainly sounds like an anchor worm. Have a look on google (that's what I did to get the right name of the treatment) there's pictures of them. It will help you identify for real that that is what you have.

Waterlife's products are excellant and I will always get their meds where possible. I'm in the U.K though so I can't say if they are available in the U.S - again the internet will be your best place until someone from the U.S reads your post and comes to help.

If I'm right (and I'm not certain I am) I think anchor worms suck the life out of your fish so the quicker you act the more likely you are to save the fish
