This doesn't look like a dominate male in the tank. If they aren't dominate then they will be lighter than the dominate one. How many other convicts are in the tank with him and how big is tank and how many hiding spots, like caves are there in the tank?

Never sed if it was a male, all I know it's the biggest convict in the tank by 2", all the others are just Realy small(around 1" with Realy uglier stripes)
The convicts are shy and to get chases by my blue afra once in a while.
I ve got 7convicts wich look much uglier.

Females often times don't have as large of a dot on their tail. Anyways, If the convict is the one that's picked on the most it will be a lighter color and look differently. I have two JDs and the one looks like a Jack but the other is much smaller and almost looks like a jewel or a firemouth. It gets picked on and has really light coloring. The other one has very dark coloring.
If you have another tank seperate it and see if the color changes. They like caves and given a cave they will become dominate and get the dark coloring.

I understand.. But I have no spare tanks.. The fish that are pikin on my 7convicts are.my blue afra and baby flowerhorn, litraly every 2mins atleast one has to get bullied, my blue area is quite the #40## Basterd along with my flowerhorn.

How big is the tank and how well planted is it?

One thing I forgot to tell you, You shouldn't mix new world with old world cichlids

My tank is a small overstocked tank wich is not heavily planted, I've only got about 5 small plants which is at the back,
About the old cichlid stuff, I thinkn Thts too late , since I've got African cichlid
Here's a vid of tank

It's embarissing, bcos it's super super small with SUPER PACKED FISH. , I kno u shouldn't be doin this overstocking but...
Anyway so about the colour, it looks weird because of the other fish ? And it will never change?

Vid quality is super bad!- and I'm getting rid of the mollies and tetras

The color can change back to what it should be if the con ever gets comfortable. Yes if the con isn't a dominate fish in the tank they will often be a lot lighter and look differently. The color of your sand could do it too. Fish tend to adapt to their environment. I would put a few more hiding places in that tank and see if it doesn't help

ok, hehe but the other looks not to be a con,so a cross breed

Just had a look at the video, there is going to be deaths in that tank soon, also some will possibally get eaten, if you have a flowerhorn in there, that will probally end up killing all other cichlids,

Is that neon or cardinal tetra? They are acidic fish...
