My Betta And His Friends

i have my double tail male betta in a 5 gallon mini bow with 2 peppered corys and an african dwarf frog. the betta seems to like sitting and watching the activity, but recently he has slowed down. he is about 3 years old now if not a little more even. ill be sad if he dies any ideas?

More than likely an age thing.

The peppers will appreciate a larger tank though

If you've had the betta 3 years, he might have already been over a year old when you bought him - most stores don't sell young bettas because people want the fancy fins which they don't have until a certain age. It is most likely age related behaviour though so long as your water chemistry is fine. Again, the peppers would appriciate a larger home and more company.
