First time egg layers
jqs6d2.jpg

They didn't make it through the night which I wasn't too surprised at.

Has anyone ever had success removing the eggs from the tank and raising fry in a separate tank? Is it extremely difficult?

Right now I have four angels in my tank. I think I have two pairs but not completely sure.

This is the first time this pair has laid eggs. I bought them from a LFS together when they were pretty tiny.

Yes you can do it- they make it easy. in the above photo you cut the leaf and remove it and eggs to a hatching tank. There is an excellent angel article here which has a section on pulling eggs. http://fins.actwin.com/articles/freshwaterangels.php

Just to give you an idea of what to expect- this is a 2.5 gal. tank.

Hold off on removing eggs until the Angels have had a few successful spawns under their belts. That Angel looks especially young. If you have a grow out tank, and are able to do the water changes involved go ahead and get yourself a brine shrimp hatchery and start rearing!
