My 60Lt Juwel Record

Hi just thought i would show you my Juwel record 60, its been running 24hrs and re scaped 3 time lol
i finally settled with only 4 rock from the 20 that i started of with

Tank: Juwel Record 60
Sub: is a mix of JBL plant sub and Unipac sand (long story how it became mixed) it went wrong to start with..
Rock: is from local garden centre
Plants: From tony at planted tanks in selby and are Hemianthus callitrichoides and at the rear dwarf hairgrass
Filter: temp hang on bag till i get external
Light: temp home made till i make up my mind on ebay

Fish: im wanting a single school of ? any ideas please
and some cherry shrimps

It's just got 2 x 40w golf ball bulbs, do you think that's ok for the plants ?

I would have thought the HC will suffer as it looks a little dull, but it may very well survive. Can the bulbs be lowered any?

Yes they could be, but I was nervous about water as there not aquarium lights

Hmmm.... Possibly mate. Any co2 or anything? Is there plenty of flow at the HC's level?

As for fish, Ember Tetra's. Cheap, reliable and colourful.

Easycarbo and ferts at the moment, External filter should be going on today giving it about
10/12 x flow

Thats good then mate. Ensure the strainer is covered with a pair of tights as it will just suck up your Cherries.

How long before the light is sorted? Shame you're not closer, you could have borrowed one of mine.

I like the second one. It will give you far superior light which the HC will be thankful for. Price is excellent too.

not really i sold it on ebay, and its not the look i was going for...

there is now, is that good or bad, trouble is it blowing it all over, filter says 800lph so thats 13x at 60lts
