I have the Rekord70 and its between a 400 and 600 jewel pump power head. The guy gave me the 600 and like he said its keep my tank very clean, but with it being a small tank i`m worrried about the force of the water coming from the outflow! It is at a very high speed and disturbing my water too much, especially since i want a heavily planted tank.

IS there any way to reduce the momentum of the water coming from the outflow by muffing or something with pads, or are there even any purpose made products to use?

It squarting at the back pain of glass but even then its shifting all the sand at the bottom of the tank and if i lift it higher it squirts water out of the tank side. I can blow it across the centre of the tank which causes minimum visual disturbance but maximum disturbance to the bulk of the tank water (i.e annoying my fish!!)

Hope someone can help

Chris

At the end of the day maybe its worth just waisting my money, chucking it and buying the 400 ?
