HI. WOULD APPRECIATE SOME ADVICE ON THE BEST WAY TO MOVE MY FISH WHEN MOVING HOUSE! IM LUCKY IN THAT I CAN MOVE INTO MY NEW HOUSE OVER A PERIOD OF A MONTH BECAUSE IM IN A FLAT NOW WHICH IM GOING TO RENT OUT AND HAVE BOUGHT A HOUSE. HOWEVER, IM NOT SURE QUITE WHAT TO DO ABOUT MOVING THE FISH. I HAVE AN ISULATED BOX FOR TROPICAL FISH (HAD SOME DELIVERED IN IT ) AND WILL NEED TO BAG THE FISH IN THEIR TANK WATER I GUESS BUT WHAT SHOULD I DO ABOUT WATER THE OTHER END? SHOULD I TRY TO TAKE MY WATER FROM THE TANK WITH ME AND PUT IT BACK IN THE TANK AT THE OTHER END? IM A BIT BAFFLED!!!

When moving take the filters (with media) but keep them wet with the tank water. As when the bacteria from the sponge/media dies of it will create another cycle. Also try and carry as much tank water in some buckets as you can.Secondly when you arrive set up the tank/tanks and place the tank water in which you have transported, then fill it up with water from the tap (using dechlorinator).Place the heater and filter in, leave that to run for an hour until it has cleared a bit and the water is heated. Finally acclimatise your fish for 20 minutes adding half a cup full of the tanks water every 5 mins.
