Moving Fish From One Tank To Another

hi, i have just set up my new aquarium, i have moved the sponges from my old filter to the new one, how long do i need to wait test the water so i can move the fish?

As long as the new tank temp is the same as the old one you should be able to move the fish almost immediately into their new home.

Not really no.

Unless you added some ammonia, you'll just be testing your tap water. You don't want to leave the fish without their filtration for too long, so as soon as the water is dechlorinated and up to temperature you can move the fish.
