Hey all,
I've got a high flow, bright setup that seems to favour moss growth over fern growth.
In fact, I'm almost certain that the ferns are dying and and now a few bits of thread algae are starting to appear (since I added a weekly does of liq. ferts - so I may stop this).
My lighting schedule may be a little long (7am-11pm).
Is it worth trimming the leaves from the java ferns (trident and narrow leaf) in the hope it will encourage it to grow back?
Any help is really appreciated! This si the only tank where I just simply cannot grow any kind of java fern!
