Moss????

Hi guys, I'm just wondering if anyone can i.d this please.
It literally just floats like an island, fish and shrimp love it, and it grows like mad.
I'm thinking someone's gonna say it algae, but it doesn't affect any other plants and just keeps together in a floating mass

Looks like Java Moss to me.

Look up pictures or videos of java moss and compare it to what you have. That would be my best guess.

Hi thanks I will. Although I thought java moss was an easy moss, if I put this anywhere except the top floating around it dies lol

Java Moss is classified as an “easy” Moss, but it all depends on the position and lighting. I think I have so much success with this Moss, because mine is close to the surface/out in the open.

Yours probably grows so well, because it’s close to the light.
