just wondering what the are exactly? Is it just java moss on some sort of ball, or is it a moss that grows like that? I read they keep down algae....how?

Thanks

I dont know much about what they are exactly... But i do know they 1: They look awesome. 2: they harbor some awesome stuff for your fish and are very good for tanks.

:) the fish shouldnt touch them and there quite slow growers. can live in pretty much any water.

Moss balls are algae themselves, they don't do much towards reducing algae either, they grow very slowly and have a very small nutrient uptake.

I three love moss balls i think they look great in a tank, And love coming home from work and thinking where the hell has it gone :p

i have a moss ball i love it it looks nice in the tank

Will help reduce algae by competing with the algae nutrients.

These balls will also reduce toxin levels in the water by acting as a bio filter.

thats what i know
