Moss balls & parasites

My blood parrot cichlids tore those moss balls apart after about 2 weeks they were moss ball salad

I have them in all my tanks except my turtle tank-I am sure they would also tear them apart. You have to take them out every couple of months and squeeze them out like cleaning a sponge filter.

I might have cleaned them once lol they were annihilated
