Iā€™ve had two mosquito fish for quite some time now, and the female has been very heavily pregnant for about 2 months now. Is this normal? If not what should I do? She isnā€™t acting sick or lethargic or anything, sheā€™s very healthy, iā€™m just worried because sheā€™s been that size in the picture below for about 2 months.

Normal gestation for a mosquito fish is around 4 weeks
Yea thatā€™s what I was really confused about. And itā€™s weird because she isnā€™t showing any other symptoms of worms besides possibly bloating but then again iā€™m not sure if itā€™s that?

Fish can have worms and show no symptoms.

If a livebearer has been really fat for several months and not given birth during that time, then treat them for worms.

See section 3 of the following link for treating fish with intestinal worms.
