You use the CC translator and even if it's not very accurate, what I read is that this laminated glass began to separate as this huge aquarium was stressed by large water changes, and also it had been changed from fresh to marine not too long ago. So draining and refilling caused what looks like giant anemones stuck on the front glass. This channel has other disasters with glass and mega aquariums. One is about 10,000 gallons with three large glass panels. The middle one being of tempered glass shattered- but didn't break and you can see Arapaima's swimming behind that panel. The owner seems pretty calm about it.
Another who runs the channel is building a 25,000 gallon tank and one episode showed the glass he ordered- chipped at an edge from grinding it smooth. From what I can tell he's going to use that anyway. Says it wont weaken the glass. Famous last words..maybe.
What gets me is he admits all public aquaria now go acrylic..but he says the cost is much higher than glass. I thought it was the other way around and then again in Asia, glass might be lower cost.
