Today I was watching my 2 pearl white mollies and suddenly the female molly started trying to jump out of the tank (it has a hood) and then swimming down to the gravel and making it move with her tail. I don't know what's wrong but I'm afraid she'll hurt herself! PLEASE HELP!!!

maybe just turn the lights out and leave the room for awhile so that she settles down. it must be fear but i really don't know.......my betta does it for food!

My silver molly is doing the same thing. The light especially would freak her out. I found that indirect lighting from a table lamp about 2 feet to the side of the tank would light it but not stress her out.

For those that saw my other posts, you know I lost 2 mollies after starting treatment for clamped fin. I have figured out what is happening.... fungus. She has developed cottony bits around her mouth today, which is also swollen and pink. She is also doing what was described earlier by someone else (psycho movement, laying on gravel, breathing rapidly, etc.)

First thing in the morning it's off to the store for fungal treatment.
