Hi im looking at getting some angels when i upgrade just want to check i can put different colour angelfish together? and can i add them to the tank at different times (one or two at first then a few later on)?
Thanks
Lloyd

Yes you can do a variety of colors together, they don't care, they are all the same species (assuming they are not the wild caught altums - spelling?). Best to add all at once so they all have an equal chance at the territory. If you stagger it, the existing angel(s) will have possession of the territory and may be more aggressive.

How big is your tank? I have a spawning pair in a 60 gallon with other fish and I would not do more angels. I suppose if it was only angels in this tank I could do more but I have other inhabitants. I also have one in a 29 gallon tall tank with other inhabitants.

thanks, i thought so but just checking.
What would be the biggest gap from adding the first to the last angel to the tank 1 week or less?
I will be getting a 400L (88gal) tank so quite big, i cant decide weather to have discus or not. :shout:
Thanks
Lloyd

You can move stuff around each time you add Angels so that there territories are changed. Be careful of size also as Angels can harrass weaker, smaller Angels. Normally there quite peaceful but they are cichlids so sometimes you get aggressive or just down right evil ones. If you get black ones be aware there very susceptible to bad water conditions.
