Missing Fish!!!

I am cycling my 46 gal. tank with 3 zebra danios and when I left for work this morning all three were acounted for, then I came home for lunch and *poof* now there are only 2? No signs of a corpse floating around, the intake of the Emporer 400 is grated to small to suck one up, the tank has a full hood the only open spot is at the power filter.

So where did he go? I don't think the other 2 could eat him that fast (4 hrs.). Do danios like to jump? cause if so he escaped through a small spot just infront of the filter and my cat just had a snack.

Btw...the fish are only aoubt 3/4" long.

Now this is getting me worried, this weekend i am buying a master test kit so i will know the levels then.

all danios are excelent jumpers.
An adult ZD has been known to jump 18" from the water level.

Well if that is the case then my kitty had a treat...

Either your kitty had a treat or you have a dried fishy on the floor or stuck on the bottom of a sock (Eww). I have had guppies jump two or three feet from a tank before, any fish can jump especially fast swimmers like danios.
