I used a black background for my 29 gallon LOTR Castle tank which I think made it stand out. I purchased a forest background for my sunken forest tank. A green plant background would also look good.

I would experiment with different piece of colored construction paper.
Granted your fish and plants have a lot of good color but I would hate to see your rock scape and castle thing in the corner get washed out in the back ground, if get some dark green, green and possibly an off white piece of paper to see which looks best, I think the dark green or off white would male the whole tank stand out.

That tank would look really good with a black background. I personally use black trash bags. Here is my 29g tank with a black background: july-ttf-totm-jpg.108634

It really makes the colors pop. :)
