Guys, I might be getting a 220 gal tru view acrylic tank. Its gonna be around 400 dollars fron penny saver. Is that a good deal?

What should i put in it? If you had the tank ready to go, what would you do with it? Go crazy!!

Give me as many ideas as you can. HINT: I have 7 cichlids that i would transplant into it, sowork around them.

What is a good deco for a huge tank like that?

IDEAS IDEAS IDEAS PLEASE!!!

What kind of cichlids do you have?
i would either do
A) A massive Lake Malawi Mbuna and Peacock set up
B ) A planted amazon set up with various tetras, discus and dwarf cichlids
C) A big new world set up, with oscars, sevs, plecs, etc etc

DD

wat about a community for bigish fish
1 paradise fish
1 red tail black shark
3 moonlight gouramis
1 flying fox
5 common hatchet fish
6 congo tetras
3-5 angelfish
4 clown loach
5 glass catfish

400 bucks for a 220G!!!!! OMG, that's practically giving it away!! I paid 360 for my little 75G. Ooohhh... you are SO incredibly lucky :p

So what cichlids do you already have? Based on their species and needs, it would be easier to work with them. I don't know much about cichlids, but I would have to include some catfish in there. All big cichlids and big catfish - that's wonderful! I would get a royal pleco, some zebra plecos, golden nuggets, a bunch of pims, and a school of bala sharks. The balas really aren't catfish, but they're great anyway.

I would stay away from any tetra, danio, gourami, angel, etc, as they would be harmed by the big cichlids (and some of the catfish if you do get them). Plus, personally, there is no way I would waste 220 gallons on fish that I could keep in a much smaller tank (tetras, etc). You have the room, so go BIG!
