I've been admiring this guy at work for days, then I researched them last night... turns out they get 2'!!!! Now, while I know I really shouldn't be getting another fish that requires a massive tank in the future, can you imagine a 2' goby that looks grumpy as heck? Awesome, right? Yeah, I totally had to have that. He's still a little guy right now, though

He was hiding under the sand when I went to bag him today and for a minute there I was freakin' out, thinking someone had already bought him, but then I saw his little eyes peeking out

Beautiful animal. I can't wait until he gets of substantial size

"What's goin' on over here, guys?" says the dwarf green pike cichlid. Yes, they get along fine so far :)

And my banjo cat (in another tank,) just for the hell of it, because I almost never see him

That little pike has about 3 months to live  these guys grow fast and can take down large prey, lovely fish.

I with Synirr about seeing him at a good size and what does he eat. Bloodworms, ghostshrimp, anything meaty.I bet he will scarf down anything small enough to fit in his mouth when he gets older.
:D

Lol, yeah CFC, they won't be living together that long. I've got enough sense to realize a fish that gets nearly 2' and a fish that gets about 5" tops aren't going to get along forever ;)

MasterP -- He already scarfs down anything small enough to fit in his mouth, haha! He has been eating live blackworms and frozen krill the past couple of days.

Arn't they best kept in brackish water? Cause a fish store near me as some Jade Sleaper Gobies and they are best kept in brackish water, although they can be kept in anything from fresh to marine waters.

Great goby! Personally, I like to stick to the ones that grow wider instead of longer, but any goby is great :p
Great pictures as well, very sharp :D
