Hi,
I have six guppies, 3 male and 3 female. I have had them for around 2 weeks but the males only went for one female and wouldn’t give her space, so I just put the males in a seperate tank so she could rest and now the males are trying to mate with each other. Is this normal?

Is it because they are chasing each other? That‘’s normal.

It definitely looks like they are trying to mate with each other. It looks the same as males mating with females.

Now all of my neon tetras look like they are trying to mate with each other.

Could you post a short video?

Well, at least you don’t have to worry about what to do with the fry.

Yes I’m sure, they both have gravid spots and used to get chased but now just watch as the other one gets chased by all 3 males

It's perfectly normal, in the absence of females male guppies will mate with whatever fish are in the tank inc non guppies, I have a group of 4 males alone and they are constantly trying to mate with one another and doing the mating dance to impress too!

That´s quite normal. It´s a hiearchy thing that happened. Same can happen when you keep an all female tank.
