hello

I bought a madagascar lace plant in early october, it's been growing regulary and now it's sent up a shoot heading towards the surface. I thought I've read somewhere that someone else's did this and when they cut it off the rest of the plant died very quickly. I'm surprised it hasn't died on me yet, so i don't want to do anything to it thats gonna stress it out and kill it.

Should I cut the shoot thingy off? It's about 5 inches from the surface.

Thanks to any info :good:

It must be flowering, some say that if you cut it off it will stop the plant going dormant. I let one flower and cut all the leaves off, it is still sending up new leaves though I have cut off three sets of new leaves. The flowers are quite nice, it does need a dormant stage some time I think.

Thanks for the post! :good:

Okay so I should let it flower and cut off all the leaves? and if i've got that right should I cut off any new growing leaves, or let them them grow?
