Ludwigia Of Some Sort!

Hi everyone
I have some type of ludwigia in my tank and was wondering what i should do.. the plant has got quite tall and half way up has lost a fair amount of leaves so it is quite bare in the middle... I was wondering if i could trim the plants just at the point where the leaves have fallen off and replant it for more plants?

Yup do that, any stems can be trimmed and re planted.
