Lr Rubble

my HOB filter full of
LR rubble or would i be
better of just leaving
clear in case i need
to use carbon or rowa

you may occasionally need to clean it out. Stuff will get stuck on the rubble and a good swish is saltwater you've taken out after a water change is a good opportunity.

be fine try get good flow not packing it in tight and can use both i guess

You need to wash the LR thou now again in old tank water, do not touch the LF remember

thanks for that i am actually thinking of upping
the size of the hob filter so i could get more
stuff in it or maybe thinking of putting a small
external filter on where i can put rowa and carbon
and using the hob filter just for LR would that still
work
