Low Tech Planted Tank With Blyxa Japonica?

Hey all,

Just wondering here, i am doing a shrimp tank, it's a low tech low light tank. The tanks about 21 gallons (custom rimless) and i wanna do a piece a driftwood with blyxa japonica everywhere on the substrate... kinda like a grassy feel... but wondering if my light amount will keep it growing.. (even if it's just really slow). I'm running my 21 gallon with the coralife 2x18w lighting T5 system.

Think that's adaquete? I grow it in my 55 gallon with 2.7 wpg and it's great..

I've got it growing in mine at the moment and Im only on 0.9WPG T5 HO (with 3 hours at 1.5WPG noon burst)

So you should be OK as long as you have it directly under the lights.

125Ltr/33USG deep
pressurised CO2 with rhinox ceramic diffusor @ 1bps = 30ppm (by drop checker reading green)
80% planted
1 x T5HO 4500K 30W - 10 hours, 1 x T8 6500K - 3 hours
700lph external filter with glass lily in and outs.
Vecton2 UV
Hydor external heater
Tropica substrate covered by playsand.
NPK dry powders + Tropica trace
Heavy Fish load (2"/USG) including heavily fed Cichlids

Would post pics but have had CO2 prob for last week and BBA everywhere. Blyxia has grown well though. lol
