I will be getting an Aqua One Aqua Start 6 Gal tank this weekend for my 2 african dwarf frogs and I will also eventually hopefully be adding a Betta to the tank. I am using sand and I have decided to create a small terrace from some slate. I have already picked a couple of different plants out that I intend to have in there, which will be water wisteria(to plant and float), cabomba and some moss balls. I really want to keep it as low maintance as possible as I never had much luck in the past when planting in my 60L tank. So could I please get recommendations of some other plants that basically require nothing but light and healthy water to survive? With it being such a small tank and me not having much room to play around with scaping I really want to make it look as nice as possible.

Talking of light, how long should I be looking at keeping the light on in the tank for the plants? The tank will be pretty much opposite a window so should get a fair amount of natural light most of the day.

So excited about setting this little tank up :D

Vallis, anubias, java fern, java moss, crypts and most mosses are all easy plants to get along with. Leave the light on for 7-8 hours a day. :)

Thankyou! I shall check out all those plants, did consider attaching some moss to the terrace I plan to make but I havn't made up my mind about that yet. 7-8 hours it is! :good:

Have you read this? PARC

I missed that so thanks for linking it, I'll be taking a look on there too. Hopefully get some different easy plants in the terrace.
