Looking For Advice

Hi all

So im after some advice on my plants as i have some browning on my amazon frogbit and vals. I dont use any ferts at the moment and the lighting I have came with the tank which was 2nd hand.

The plants seem to be growing ok but they just dont look that healthy, my main lights are on for 11 hours and the blue ones are on for 3 hours, these are on seperatly not the same time.

Lighting is 2x 7100 36w and 2x 24w coral star.

Surface water gap to glass is approx 1" and about 1.5" to the light cover.

Tank dimensions are approx H19" W35" D14.5" bow front

You need ferts mate, also drop your photo period a little, check aqua essentials, hey do neutro T which will help, your lighting is kind of medium so hopefully that should help. Don't run an air stone do you?

Thanks bud just had a look at those ferts so will get some of that...will drop my main lights to 9 hrs a day and no i dont run any air into it.

I had been considering changing my main lights to the pink bulbs to bring out the colours of the fish better... Will that effect the plants much?

Not really as long as its the same wattage.
