A little more than a month ago I set up a 14 gallon planted tank (Juwel rekord 60) that was going to eventually become a Betta sorority. It has a 15w bulb obver the 14 gallons which is just over 1 wpg. Naturally I was worried that none of my plants would grow under such low lighting conditions...

Turns out that all that worry was for nothing as my plants have been flying along! Below you can see some early pics of the tanks and three that I took today (sorry for the bad quality; they were taken using my mobile)

This is what I started off with in early September:

Fish stocking is as follows:

6 female Bettas.
4 Otocinclus.

I've been having some algae problems (specifically hair algae) that my Otos don't seem to be able to control. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Congrats, far to many people think they need 3wpg etc when you dont.

for BBA, this is caused by low/ fluctuating CO2.

yeah looks fantastic gives me hope for my 55g as I dont fancy having to buy a lighting unit for that ;)
grats mate well done
