Thes are long arm shrimp and can get to 15cms long  .. I was sold these as fresh water shrimp from pets at home, only to find after a few months when they grew and I checked them out they can get to little monsters :(

I had some sort of long arm shrimp come with some feeder shrimp I got. I took him out of my 29g brackish tank about four months after I put him in (with the rest of the feeders) because he kept taking hiding spaces and food from the puffer and gobies. I didn't have the heart to just kill him, so I stuck him in a tiny "critter cage", threw in some salt, and let him sit. I fed him once a week, if he was lucky, and he continued to grow (although not very much because of the whole lack of food thing). I also never did a water change, and never really topped up, so the water had to be near marine salinity towards the end. I finally decided it was time to reintroduce him to the brackish tank. I didn't really think about how much the fish had grown though, and how much they probably hated him from before (don't try to tell me fish don't have long term memory and can't hold grudges). He did ok in the 29g for about 30 seconds before the puffer noticed him, attacked him, got grabbed by his "long arm", puffed up, then the gobies came to the rescue and tore the shrimp to pieces. One the of the most entertaining nights of fish watching I've had...
