Loach With Itch

hi all.
about 2 weeks ago i noticed the fish in the tank were flashing themselves against the sand. i held back on meds because i have 2 clown loaches. i raised the temp yesterday to about 83 but this morning one of the loaches was covered in spots and has lost a lot of weight and condition. is there a safe med that i can use. the loach are quite young (about 2-3")

I don't know what medications are availble overseas but in Australia I have used a broad spectrum medication with the exact active ingredients as follows

24.2g/L Mafenide HCL
3.3g/L Aminacrine HCL
0.4g/L Malachite Green.

The particular product I use is safe to use on loaches, tetras and fry, I have also used this with cherry shrimp in the tank (no deaths) as well as corydoras and bristle noses.

So maybe if you can find a product in your area with the same levels of active ingredients you can try it on your loaches.

I've used API Super Ick Cure with khuli loaches without them minding it, however, my raphael catfish was pretty traumatized from the treatment.

thanks for your advice. unfortunately i lost the smaller loach this afternoon. it went down really fast. the other one seems fine at the moment. i will look into the treatment
