I want to get this live rock but it is not cure so I now that you have to cure and ai know a little about curing it but can anybody give me more details. I want to use this live first it looks good. I want to get the uncured because its much cheaper I know it smellls but I plan using five gallon buckets outside with water and a heater possibly a skimmer.

I don't know if the skimmer is necessary, but you're going to need water movement as well...I'd throw a couple of powerheads in there.

use a skimmer if possible, it will remove nutrients fster. create a water flow to start the process off denitrification off. Heat the water of course or the cold will kill the living creatures. Lastly, if you can feed with live phytoplankton the liverock will cycle far fr faster and the smell isnt nearly as bad (so i am led to believe)

How many buckets do you think it will take to fit that much rock in I plan using the old salt water that I pull from my tanks instead of wasting that much salt. I do have a 10g upstairs would it smell bad if I was right next to the tank this is y i plan to do it outside with a powerhead and a heater. If it does smell how bad.

That's some nice rock, my buddy got a bunch of that and the tonga rock for his 75 gallon.. has some nice shapes to it. I can't remember it smelling that bad when we cured it.

You will be able to get in a thrity gallon trash can. I would put a skimmer on it as navarre stated. I also like to have power compacts on when curing. The more current you have the better. I would also do large water changes once a week if not more for a month or so. It will be ok to use old water out of your other tanks the bacteria in the tank water will help the prosess. Good luck and have fun doing it.
