I will have 2.4 WPG, for my tank within a week or so, which is why I'm making a list of compatible plants for my tank and just want to hear your advice, tips or if you have had any experience with this list of plants: Also if you have any other suggesitions of plants I could get.

Medium Low Lighting Plants

Giant Hygro
Guppy Grass
Temple Plant
Watersprite

Low Lighting
Cryptocoryne moehlmannii
Cryptocoryne retrospiralis
Cryptocoryne spiralis
Hornwort
Java Fern

Hornwort is difficult to keep in the substrate, the "planted" ends tend to rot and the remainder will float. Similaly, what you are calling "Guppy Grass", (for the rest of us Najas guadalupensis! - never heard that common name before), this is also a floating plant. When your light is low, floating plants are not a good idea unless you particulaly need them for fry cover. They block out light for other plants.

At 2.4 wpg, in a deep hex, you'll still only have Medium light. That said, there are many more plants that you can try in there. Many Swords for example will be okay, Echinodorus bleheri for example. Many Crypts are low-medium light, not just those you mention. You should certainly give Hygrophila polysperma a go, that is an easy fast growing plant that makes only moderate demands on light.

Lots of possibilities really.

A bigger question usually is what does your lfs have available. A frequent question here is "I've decided to get x, y and z - however nowhere has them - where can I get them?"

Yah I know, I haven't looked at any plants that require more than medium light. Thats a good idea, I should check out what the LFS has, the only one that has real plants is Petsmart so I'll have to check them out.
