Lily Rose Tank No. 3

Set up a 48L fishpod tank a week ago with 9 pygmy corys added 2 days after setup. Ammonia has increased to 0.25 every evening and 50% waterchange every evening. Took a 28 day old white filter sponge from an interpet PF2 filter cut it to size and placed it into PF1 filter...... and put the PF1 filter into the PF2 with the piece I cut off the PF2 sponge.

anyway. this evenings ammonia test showed 0 so I am hoping the sponge filter transfer is doing something, as I ahave a Super Delta betta coming soon.

yeah well I do, and she helps by holding the syphon tube, with me beside her. then other days she watches tv and the other kids help

Same old hectic day to day, not posting means driving the van or washing dishes, lol. Oliver did ask about quarks the other day and that was interesting.. we talked about how the quarks with charm and strange and top and bottom are the short-lived ones and how the plain up and down quarks are the way our normal ones that make up all of our universe that we see around us. Isn't it weird to thing that all the little trios of quarks that you and I are made of have been locked up together in our protons and neutrons ever since the universe began as far as we know? I think he's getting it down that two up quarks and a down quark make a proton whereas two downs and an up make a neutron. Put enough of those together and you get a nitrogen atom, yikes!, back to the aquarium!

wow.that went straight over my head, I'm not a physics girl lol you'll have to go slightly more basic to teach menthat one.....didnt do physics to any higher level lol

So I thought that by now you would have a bit of mature media to jump start a new tank. Is either of the first two far enough along to use it to get the third one going? That would certainly make it less work to look after this latest tank.

Yeah scotty..... another tank...thats 3 and my betta arrived home this morning, hes in his tank now getting to know his tankmates....9 pygmy corys nd a hillstream loach. hes hiding in the plants for now x
