Can you get starts off of a "Red lotus lilly plant" So I don't have to buy more? just curious! thanks!

Not tryied it myself yet but someone said on here the other day that they have done. They just trimmed a stem off at the substrate level and replanted it somewhere else.

Buy 1 bulb

When you get some shoots and roots off it, seperate it from the bulb and plant it on its own somewhere else (trim the roots to an inch)

The bulb will resprout new shoots.

Repeat and repeat.

There is no need to buy loadsa bulbs like some idiot called Supercoley1 did!!!

...and undywurldy0.

Explain that again?

Massive bulb, stem with leaf on it, a 'root' comes out of the bulb...

So you cut the root & replant? Or is it like a spud & you cut part of the bulb off & replant?

Take a look here.., where The-Wolf has done pretty much what you are looking to do...

The root is attached to the bottom of the stems which come out of the bulb.

If you gently pull they come away from the bulb as a crown of stems with roots (just like other plants) and you can replant leaving the bulb behind to grow some more.

I have tried it many times recently.
